Does the ECT give out grants?
A. We don’t give out grants but we do have a community investment strategy that will make investments in community infrastructure and projects that will enhance economic growth and transform our community.
How much money each year is available for projects?
A. ECT releases up to 50% of its post tax income for investment in projects. So the more income the Trust generates the more money that’s available for distribution. More than $15.5 million was made available for projects between 2009 and 2014.
How do I apply for sponsorship funding?
A. You must fill in the “Sponsorship application form” [insert link]. The application must be lodged no less than 8 weeks prior to the anticipated start of the initiative or activity.
Can I get sponsored to attend a sporting event?
A. No. Sponsorships are intended to “kick-start” new initiatives that stimulate economic activity within the region and attract people to Eastland. Past examples include the Gisborne Autumn Arts Festival, Te Rangitawaea Festival, and Young Enterprise Scheme.
