Transformational

Over the last few years the Trust has built its capital base to allow significant transformational community investment to be undertaken.

A transformational investment is a major initiative or project that will transform the region economically and socially. For example the project may shift our low regional median income to the national average, decrease our dependency on benefits and government assistance, or increase our GDP from being second worst in New Zealand.

Investment can be as the sole investor or in conjunction with funding from other sources such as government agencies, like-minded community groups or the private sector.

To date the Trust hasn’t funded any transformational projects but one of our objectives is to actively seek out projects that will have a transformational impact on our community.
